MAINTENANCE WORKER - FULL-TIME


We are currently seeking a dedicated, full-time Maintenance Worker to join our team. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service to colleagues, members, and guests.
  • Health and Safety, actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment including inspection of all areas of the property for safety issues and taking immediate corrective action.
  • Daily inspection of buildings, maintenance checks, reporting/recommending repairs & purchases as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
  • Identify issues and perform general repairs.
  • Perform carpentry repairs to walls & ceilings by patching, sanding; painting, removing & replacing coverings such as drywall, removing and replacing door handles, locks, hanging furniture fixtures and equipment, repairing broken furniture, and other necessary carpentry repairs to the building.
  • Perform electrical maintenance & repairs (e.g. replacing light bulbs, ballasts & fluorescent tubes, replacing light switches, plugs, sockets & receptacles).
  • Perform plumbing maintenance & repairs (e.g. unplugging drains, changing washers, seal rings, replacing broken traps, changing out sinks, toilets etc.)
  • Perform cleaning duties such as washing outside windows, pressure washing & garbage removal.
  • Transports heavy and/or bulky equipment & furniture; rearrange furniture in the Clubhouse and other areas during special events; moving outdoor furniture seasonally to and from storage areas.
  • Assists with maintenance of grounds and building exterior by cleaning patios, decks, removing snow & ice, cleaning gutters & drains, and removing debris from paths surrounding the Clubhouse.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Coordinating with outside contractors.
  • Ensuring all service providers complete work in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Grade 10 plus (3) three years of recent experience in building repair & maintenance.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal & written)
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly responsible and reliable, able to work well with others and individually with minimum supervision
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Proactive, organized, ability to prioritize and results-oriented
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Word & Excel
  • Experience using CMMS software is an asset
  • Ability to operate related equipment
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Flexibility in work hours
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License

BENEFITS & SCHEDULE


Wage:
$25.00 per hour + a 7.5% bonus on gross earnings in the first year and 11.5% bonus in subsequent years.


Hours:
40 hours/week (overtime as needed); typically, Monday – Friday, starting 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
