We are currently looking for a full-time Maintenance (Millwright) Supervisor in Windsor. This position is primarily a day shift position with some shift work on afternoons and midnights when required. Great opportunity for someone who wants to inspire change!!
Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is a hands-on supervisory position. You will work closely with Management, Operations, and Safety teams. The person will;
- Plan, organize and oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery and facility activities ensuring minimal downtown and optimal efficiency
- Create and oversee a TPM plan including budgetary considerations
- Initiate corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement ideas and communicate the status to relative stakeholders
- Coordinate with vendors for replacement parts and tools and schedule contractors as required
- Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
- Lead by example, communicate effectively, and help develop team members
- Implementing company policies and goals
- Be relentless about safety concerns, protocols and compliance
- Delegating work assignments to maintenance staff and third-party contractors.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson trades certificate in either 433A or 442A respectively preference given to RSE (Red Seal Endorsement)
- College/University or equivalent
- Knowledge, understanding and >3 years’ experience with steel manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills (Strive for growth within themselves and encourage team members of same, hardworking, motivated, patient, takes initiative, accountable, dependable, etc.)
- Able to think ahead and plan action accordingly
- Independent, High Energy, Organized
- Able to work under pressure
- Mechanically inclined, strong technical aptitude and creative/Innovative
- Experience with ISO 14001 Quality System
- Strong MS Office skills
- Working knowledge of Profit Key and Dayforce is an asset
