BP Canada is offering you an exciting career opportunity as a Maintenance Planner, based from our Edmonton Plant. The person will be responsible for the planning of preventive maintenance as well as shutdowns. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.
Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare, modify and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance tasks using a work order system to meet the dates and achieve compliance;
- Lead coordination meetings with engineers, maintenance personnel and production supervisors in order to prepare and coordinate all planned and major shutdowns;
- Work closely with all department leads to complete regular planning schedule / cycles.
- Plan the necessary resources (labour, parts, special machinery, etc.).
- Make purchasing requisitions for parts, resources and maintenance services.
- Codify essential spare parts in our ERP system (SAP).
- Interface with suppliers for price requests.
- Participate in the creation of maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Ensure that departmental performance indicators are captured, reported and followed up on.
- Represent the Edmonton site within the organization to share good planning practices.
- Support maintenance department during the Supervisor vacation / absence.
- Create and track department work orders.
- Prepare the documents and parts necessary for interventions (equipment files, intervention sheets, specialty tools, time).
- Any other tasks related to the job may be requested.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- Post-secondary education, preferably a degree in engineering technology or training in technical trades
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance planner in a manufacturing environment
- Very good working knowledge of SAP Maintenance software
- AutoCAD knowledge (desired)
- Experience in a unionized environment (asset)
- Experience in continuous improvement processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good technical knowledge
- Ability to provide a global view of planning to our internal clients and to foresee issues and/or future problems
- Proactive, teamwork, acts entrepreneurially, attentive to details, customer oriented
