Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities through regular maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires basic mechanical knowledge, extensive skills with tools and power tools, along with strong customer service skills to effectively address maintenance issues as they arise.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
- Follow all safety regulations set out by the OHSA and comply with all standards of practice set out by related governing bodies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and equipment activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and clients.
- Supervise maintenance staff when required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal disruption.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in landscaping and ability to use all related tools.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with staff and clients.
- Leadership experience is a plus for supervising other maintenance personnel.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication within the team.
- WHMIS Certified and forklift license is beneficial, but not necessary.
