Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry work, HVAC, and general building systems
- Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their stay
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address potential issues before they affect guests
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to support special events or unique guest needs
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Chief Engineer or any other Hotel Manager
Requirements:
- Essential experience in a maintenance role within a hospitality environment is a must
- Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 50 lbs
- Capable of frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly organized, with the ability to work independently and efficiently when required
- Excellent at identifying and resolving issues independently
- Effective communicator with a customer-focused approach
- Comfortable with flexible working hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Relevant certifications or training (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) is a plus
