Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Lumber Associate to join our team in a dynamic Lumber and Building Materials yard environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient handling and distribution of lumber products and building materials. This position requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment such as forklifts. Responsibilities
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate selection of lumber and building material products based on customer orders.
- Operate forklifts, and other yard equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload lumber/ building materials from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Maintain an organized workspace by adhering to proper yard/ warehouse management systems.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all materials are accounted for.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain high standards of safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a lumber and building materials environment is REQUIRED
- Familiarity with order picking processes and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation of forklifts, yard equipment, and other machinery is highly desirable.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations will be beneficial for this role.
- A strong understanding of safety protocols within a luber yard and warehouse setting is essential.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
