ALARM TECHNICIAN
Smart-Tek is a locally owned and operated company. Preference will be given to candidates with job experience but will train the right candidate.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Install and troubleshoot wired and wireless alarm systems including new installs and takeovers of an existing system
- New home prewiring of alarm, CCTV, home theater, smart home products and whole home sound systems
- Commercial access control installs and repair
- Installing and servicing IP and Digital PBX systems and business phone lines
- Install or repair of apartment door intercom systems
- Marine radar and GPS systems
- Plan and install conduit on different surfaces and run wire inside as well as fish wire through walls

- Sales skills is an asset
REQUIREMENTS
- Must own and wear steel toe shoes
- Clean driving record
- Full Class G Ontario License
- Criminal record check
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Manual labour, lifting up to 50lbs
- Working from heights, on lifts and ladders
- Working outside in inclement weather and variable climates
- Using a variety of power tools
- Working in small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
- Using PPE when needed such as on construction sites or in factories.
- Working hours may vary (occasional evening, weekend, overnights and on call shifts)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
