Summary
Spartan Controls is currently recruiting a Valve Technician to work with our relief valve service team. This position will be based out of our Calgary Solutions Centre. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Valve Service in Calgary.

Role and Responsibilities
- Support our service team to perform teardown, evaluation, repair of relief valves
- Support our production team in new assembly and production orders
- Interface with internal and external customers
- Assist with receiving service materials into the facility
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior relief valve experience considered an asset

Preference will be given to candidates that have certificates displaying:
- 960 hours of logged pressure relief valve service experience
- Completion of a manufacturer’s training course for servicing pressure relief valves
- Any formal instrumentation, electrical or mechanical training
- Mechanical experience or ability considered an asset
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Proven customer service experience
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Detail oriented with a focus on quality
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Prior crane training would be an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

- This position has been deemed as Safety Sensitive – successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment Alcohol and Drug test
