Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to analyze data, and proficiency in various programs (Avaal FM). The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with drivers, customers, and other departments to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
Duties
- Manage incoming and outgoing calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and optimize routes.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records of shipments and deliveries.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and any changes or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with 3PL (Third Party Logistics) providers to ensure seamless logistics processes.
- Monitor the performance of transportation operations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills to assess transportation data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Avaal (AFM) or similar software is essential
- Experience with LoadBoard & Loadlink
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is preferred
- Previous experience in transportation management or logistics is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
