Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and efficient delivery. We are looking for drivers to deliver bread to various stores, like Walmart, Save on foods, Co- op etc. Applicants will be responsible for making deliveries and putting the product on customer shelf within the local area by vehicle and then returning the vehicle back to its original location. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring that items are secured properly for transport.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking and documentation of shipments.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Utilize forklifts or other equipment when necessary to facilitate loading and unloading processes.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Forklift certification is advantageous but not required; training may be provided.
