Pacific Coast Renewables, a division of Evergen Infrastructure Corporation, is a leader in composting and anerobic digestion operations that strive to make local communities cleaner and greener by producing renewable energy, compost, natural fertilizer and soil enhancement products from organic wastes. Our operations play an important part in achieving a sustainable economy and minimization of greenhouse gas emissions.
Our composting facility in Abbotsford is currently seeking a Temporary Loader Operator to join our talented and dedicated team.
Please note that this role is for the afternoon shift, with some required weekend availability. Shift times are noon to 8 pm, Monday to Friday.
The Position
The successful candidate will be trained on compost operations. Duties will include performing daily checks to ensure a clean and efficient operation is maintained, housekeeping, and scale operations.
Candidates who excel in this role will be eligible for advancement and training as compost equipment operators that includes the use of skid steers, sweepers, front end loaders and excavators. You must be willing to perform other labor duties, including sweeping and shoveling in our compost facility.
What You Need
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance
- Previous leader experience is an asset
- Initiative and ability to work well independently and with others
- Conscientious and strong work ethic
- Desire and aptitude to learn
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- A valid Class 5 license in good standing
Preference will be given to people with previous labour experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or construction and/or exposure to heavy equipment operation.
