We are looking to add an experienced Loader operator/scale person to our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual and be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Job purpose
Responsible for the operation of both a loader and our scale, and related equipment in weighing and recording the weight of materials brought to the scale by trucks. Work includes preparing and maintaining daily records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a loader
Weighing trucks
Collecting and reviewing manifests
Recording all information in a computerized weighing system
Running reports
Sampling inbound materials
Filing
Keeping accurate and updated records
Maintain a safe, organized working environment
Calculating costs for drivers based on vehicle weight
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a loader
Experience with scale and/or software
Ability to read precise measurements
Be able to work independently, with minimal supervision
Moderate computer proficiency
Basic math skills
Experience in trucking or in an industrial yard environment
Experience reading, understanding and working with manifests
Experience with radio communications
