Lazer Commerce is a specialized team within Lazer focused on crafting scalable, high-performing commerce experiences across the Shopify ecosystem. We partner with forward-thinking brands and agencies to design and implement custom storefronts, headless architectures, and robust backend integrations. From theme development to complex ERP and OMS workflows, our engineers bring deep expertise in Shopify, modern frameworks, and commerce infrastructure to help clients launch, scale, and optimize their digital retail experiences.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Live Learning Marketplace Platform Developer to join our remote team. You’ll play a key role in building and scaling platforms that support live learning experiences, educational content, and real-time interactions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in full-stack development and has experience in EdTech, marketplaces, or cohort-based learning environments.
What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and NextJS or Remix
Build and optimize live learning marketplace features, including video streaming, chat, and real-time notifications
Integrate AI-powered capabilities such as chatbots, content recommendations, and smart search
Implement secure user authentication and authorization systems
Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver a seamless end-user experience
Develop dashboards for analytics and reporting
Integrate and manage payment processing systems
Use AI development tools such as Cursor to streamline coding workflows
Work cross-functionally to build scalable and reliable platform features
Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve platform performance
Who You Are:
Full-stack developer with strong experience in React, TypeScript, NextJS or Remix
Proficient in PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM
Skilled in GraphQL and API integration
Experienced with Cursor or similar AI-assisted development tools
Proven background building marketplace or educational platforms
Knowledge of video streaming and live session technology
Comfortable with real-time features such as chat, notifications, and live updates
Strong understanding of authentication and authorization systems
Experience building analytics dashboards and integrating payment gateways
Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating in a remote, fast-paced environment
Technical Skills We Are Looking For:
Languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
Frameworks: React, NextJS, Remix
Database: PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM
AI Tools: Cursor or similar AI coding platforms
Auth: OAuth, JWT, SSO integrations
