Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong desire to improve the quality of life for those with varying needs, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role requires a blend of personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities.
Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks as necessary to maintain a comfortable living space.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is provided, including hospice care when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing home, assisted living, or home care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Knowledge of working with persons with disabilities is beneficial.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
