Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly during service. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality meal preparation.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
