We’re looking for a reliable individual to join our team as a Line and Prep Cook. The ideal candidate will prioritize team work and enjoy a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be working closely with our kitchen staff to prepare dishes according to our standards, and help maintain and clean, organized, and safe work space. There are part-time and full-time opportunities available, ranging from 20-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in a timely manner.
- Ensure food is prepared to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of all stations.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and the front-of-house team.
- Assist with prep work and closing duties.
- Washing dishes and aiding in restaurant clean up.
- Restocking supplies and organizing inventory.
- Prioritizing duties based on changing needs throughout the shift.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Available from 2pm - 11pm most days.
- Ability to use knives safely.
- Ability to stand for long hours.
- Strong understanding of verbal instructions.
- Adaptable and able to prioritize tasks depending on business needs.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude.
- English language proficiency required.
- Sinhala language proficiency is an asset, but not required.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage
- 50% off meal per shift
