Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and supporting the overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the food industry, a strong understanding of food safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook various food items according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals are prepared in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning tasks and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
