Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and a commitment to food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing delicious meals to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while adhering to proper handling procedures.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks to uphold a sanitary work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
