Roofers Wanted – Solve Roofing (Victoria, BC)
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Lead Flat Roofer to oversee flat roofing projects on residential and commercial properties. This role involves leading a crew, managing day-to-day site operations, and performing high-quality roofing work. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and confident in guiding a team from start to finish on flat roofing jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation, repair, and maintenance of flat and low-slope roofing systems.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of a roofing crew to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Assess roof conditions, identify issues, and implement appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Manage site setup, workflow, material usage, and job progress in coordination with project managers.
- Ensure proper preparation and finishing of roofing surfaces, including seams, edges, and drainage systems.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized job site.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior crew members.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, team members, and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in flat roofing, including previous leadership or foreman-level responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of flat roofing systems and installation best practices.
- Proven ability to lead a crew and manage timelines, materials, and quality control.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting plans or project specifications.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- OSHA certification or other safety training is a plus.
