Job Overview
Decals and Signs is seeking a skilled Lead Vinyl Installer to manage and execute full and partial vehicle wraps, flat panel signage, and commercial graphics. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone with real-world experience who can independently handle projects and lead future installers.
Key Responsibilities
- Install vinyl graphics on trucks, vans, cars, trailers, and commercial vehicles
- Apply decals to Coroplast, ACM (Dibond), PVC, and aluminum signage
- Handle full and partial vehicle wraps
- Apply vinyl to glass, walls, storefronts, floors, and other flat surfaces
- Perform surface prep including alcohol cleaning, primer 94, and edge sealing
- Apply knifeless tape and post-heat to 94°C (201°F) where required
- Comfortably work on ladders and platforms (up to 6–10 ft)
- Keep job sites clean, professional, and organized
- Communicate clearly with teammates and clients
- Operate under install SOPs and warranty requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of vinyl install experience
- Proficient with 3M, Avery, or Oracal vinyl films
- Understand installation sequencing, tension, trimming, and wrap flow
- Fluent or intermediate English
- Valid Alberta driver’s license
- Own vehicle (required for contractors, asset for employees)
- Strong attention to detail and jobsite professionalism
- Bonus: VIT, AIT, PIT, or 3M Preferred Installer certification
Employee Option – $28–$35/hr
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Full install kit supplied (NT Cutter, 3M Knifeless Tape, squeegees, buffers, sealers, etc.)
- Paid store discounts

- Work under Decals and Signs' warranty using our standardized tools and install systems
- After 90 days, opportunity to lead junior hires, earn performance-based raises, or take on advanced vehicle wrap projects
Contractor Option – $50–$60/hr (Net 30)
- Must be an Alberta-registered business
- Must carry $2M liability insurance and provide WCB coverage
- Must supply own professional-grade install tools
- Paid on Net 30 invoice terms
- Must complete all post-install procedures including:
- Post-heat to 94°C
- Submit an Install Verification Form
- Contractors are legally responsible for all install deficiencies under a 1-year customer warranty
- Repairs or warranty failures are to be resolved at the contractor’s expense
