We are seeking two exceptional individuals who are creative craftspersons with strong leadership skills and a passion for quality workmanship to join our dynamic team!
Position Overview:
As a key member of our landscape installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring our projects are executed with precision, creativity, and professionalism.
Job Duties:
- Review and interpret landscape designs to facilitate efficient and high-quality project installations while meeting production targets and deadlines.
- Maintain daily text/photo documentation of progress and resources using mobile applications.
- Operate tools safely, including chainsaws, jackhammers, compactors, laser levels, masonry saws, and other equipment.
- Keep job sites, trucks, and trailers clean and organized.
- Adhere to safe work practices and procedures as set by Sirocco Landscapes Ltd. and WorkSafeBC.
- Capture photos of your stellar work to share with friends and family!
Skills and Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience installing hardscapes and/or softscapes.
- Proficiency operating skid steers, excavators, masonry saws, compaction equipment, laser levels, and other power/hand tools.
- Certifications in Horticulture, ICPI, AB, or BCLNA are preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and excellent communication abilities.
- Punctual, reliable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong work ethic with a keen eye for detail.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with trailer towing experience (Code 20 endorsement an asset).
- A great sense of humour!
Your Working Environment:
- Personal protective equipment is required (steel-toe boots, gloves, hard hats, goggles, sunglasses, sunscreen, hats, pants, uniform shirts, and shorts where applicable).
- Tasks involve extended periods of standing, walking on construction sites, and operating equipment such as concrete saws, hand tools, wheelbarrows, and shovels.
- Heavy lifting (50+ lbs) and good manual dexterity are required.
