We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as required. This position is essential in ensuring a safe and clean environment for our furry clients while providing exceptional service to their owners.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with customer service duties, including greeting pet owners and answering inquiries.
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
- Support team members in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Customer service experience is highly valued, as interaction with pet owners is a key component of the role.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are necessary for success in this position.
