We’re growing our team and looking for a Junior Estimator to join our Estimating Department!
This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow within the construction industry. Under the guidance of our experienced estimators, you’ll learn how to complete material take-offs both from construction plans and on-site visits for renovations, new single-family builds, and multi-family projects. You'll also learn to prepare estimates for customers and attend site meetings with builders and contractors.
Additional tasks may include assisting with:
- Internal projects and process improvements
- Scheduling and materials ordering
- Participation in the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Office projects and supporting management as needed
We’re happy to train the right person—experience is not required, but the following qualities and skills would be assets:
What We’re Looking For:
1. Tech-Savvy & Quick Learner
- Able to pick up our take-off software quickly
- Proactive about learning updates and new features
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
2. Valid BC Driver’s Licence & Clean Abstract
- You’ll be using company vehicles to visit job sites across the Okanagan for measurements and site meetings
3. Construction Knowledge (Optional but Helpful)
- Basic understanding of residential construction and the BC Building Code
- Comfortable working on or around job sites
4. Team-Oriented & Reliable
