Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Insulation Installer who specializes in poly installation for walls and ceilings. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, understands building codes and vapour barrier requirements, and works efficiently both independently and as part of a crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install polyethylene vapour barriers in walls and ceilings to a high standard of quality and air-tightness
- Read work orders to determine job specifications
- Prepare and clean work areas before installation
- Ensure installations meet local building codes and safety standards
- Work safely at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site contacts
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience installing wall and ceiling poly (vapour barrier)
- Knowledge of insulation systems and related building materials
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with safety regulations and PPE requirements
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
Assets (Preferred but Not Required):
- Fall protection and WHMIS certification
- Experience with other insulation materials (e.g., batt, blown-in, spray foam)
- Own tools and safety gear
