As a Junior Business Analyst, you will assist finance staff with performing various tasks. Primary duties include:
- Participate in completing accounting processes for items such as month end close, reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to refining and improving accounting processes and documentation across different functional areas in Finance.
- Conduct background research on finance related topics such as policies and best practices.
- Assist in preparing presentations, financials reports and other documentation such as training manuals and reference guides.
- Contribute to the completion and execution of special projects.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g., GED) and 3 - 6 courses recognized by Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
- Preference will be given to candidate with 2 years of post-secondary education with a major in Business, Accounting or a related field.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Previous experience and/or working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial and Supply Chain Management (FSCM), SAP Business Objects and Power BI would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate policies, a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
