Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and possess the necessary skills to deliver high-quality workmanship. As a Carpet Installer, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing carpet in residential and commercial settings, ensuring customer satisfaction through attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Duties
- Measure and cut carpet to fit specific areas according to project specifications.
- Install carpet using appropriate techniques and tools, ensuring a seamless finish.
- Prepare surfaces by removing old flooring, cleaning, and leveling as necessary.
- Lay out carpet according to blueprints or design plans, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively during the installation process.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform repairs or adjustments as needed after installation is complete.
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in flooring installation, specifically with carpet.
- Proficiency in using hand tools related to construction and flooring work.
- Ability to read plans and understand project specifications.
- Experience with caulking and other finishing touches is preferred.
