Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Perform pipe threading, assembly, and installation of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on construction sites, including proper lifting techniques for heavy materials.
- Provide field service support for plumbing emergencies as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in construction plumbing techniques and practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC systems preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Experience with welding and carpentry is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic math for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
- Previous construction site experience is essential for understanding job site dynamics.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- A valid commercial driving license is advantageous for transporting tools and equipment when necessary.
