Role: Plumber/Gasfitter
Placement: Full-time
Shift: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:00 – 15:30
Special Note: Overtime, weekends, shift-work and on-call requirements are required as part of the job in addition to the above
The Basics:
- Wage is based on experience
- Some out of town work required
- You must be able to provide frequent pre-access drug and alcohol testing (minimum monthly) for various clients – at this time our clients complete urine-based testing with breath alcohol and screen for cannabis (THC)
- You must thrive in a fast-paced environment; it is part of the fun here!
- Have the ability to work in a physical environment (the ability to manually lift, carry, walk, stand, crawl and climb at a constant pace)
- You are on the hook for power tools and hand tools – we provide all consumables, speciality tools and rebates
- Ability to read, write and understand English at an intermediate level
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a valid ticket in plumbing and gasfitting
- Can perform basic installations of plumbing systems (HDPE water main, copper water lines, ABS drainage, fixture installation, etc.)
- Performs basic install of gas systems (threading steel pipe, using pipe tools, commissioning, etc.)
- Able to work independently without supervision
- Holds the ability to manage tasks
Assets:
- Additional trade tickets (Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection, Ariel Work Platform, Standard First Aid, H2S, Confined Space Entry and Monitor, CSTS-2020, etc.)
- Class 5 Operators Licence
- Experience working with modular trailers
