Inventory Optimization Specialist

Remsoft
$83,098 - $105,220 a year
London, Ontario
Full time

For over 30 years, Remsoft has been a global leader in intelligent planning. Combining optimization, analytics, geospatial intelligence, and AI, we deliver supply chain and sustainability solutions for the forestry sector and other asset-intensive industries. Our technology helps organizations optimize decisions, increase efficiency, and drive sustainable growth in a changing world.

As an Inventory Optimization Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering value to clients by combining analytics, supply chain expertise, and advisory support. You will work with Xtivity, A Remsoft Company, to implement and support our MRO Inventory Optimization solution—focusing on data analysis, configuration, onboarding, training, and ongoing client engagement. You will help clients improve their inventory performance, achieve their objectives, and build long-term value.

We are looking for a client-focused professional with strong analytical and communication skills who thrives in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate has experience in supply chain, inventory management, or maintenance and reliability, and is motivated by solving complex challenges with data-driven insights. Occasional travel, including internationally, may be required.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze client inventory data and apply optimization methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support implementation of Xtivity’s Inventory Optimization platform, including configuration, data onboarding, and client adoption.
  • Deliver technical training for users and generate regular custom reports.
  • Design and facilitate client-specific workshops, presentations, and ad hoc sessions.
  • Document and communicate client-specific system configuration requirements.
  • Actively participate in monthly client performance reviews and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, share insights, and enhance platform capabilities.

What You’ll Need

Qualifications:

  • Language: English (French proficiency is a plus).
  • Software: Strong experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Maximo, JD Edwards, etc.).
  • Experience: 5–10 years in an asset-intensive company or industrial supply organization, ideally in inventory management, supply chain management, or maintenance.

Assets:

  • Experience in asset-intensive industries (manufacturing, energy, mining, utilities, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management, supply chain operations, and/or maintenance and reliability.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • APICS or similar supply chain accreditation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to build strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a drive for continuous learning.

Location:

We are committed to finding the best candidate and are flexible regarding location. While Remsoft has headquarters in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Ottawa, Ontario, we are open to a range of working arrangements for this role. Candidates can work fully remotely, in a hybrid setup, or from our office.

If this role aligns with your values and goals, but you don't meet every requirement, please still apply. Your fit in our team is as important as your technical skills and experience.
