Job Summary
KC Horizontal Inc. is an Alberta-based company that provides comprehensive Horizontal Directional Drilling and Hydrovac services. Our team is equipped to offer services to various industries including the oil & gas, utilities sector, telecommunications and civil construction.
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate hydrovac equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in heavy equipment operation, and the ability to work effectively in various outdoor conditions. We offer top of industry wages, a good schedule and new equipment. A class 1 or 3, and the ability to drive an 18 speed is an asset. The jobsite is located in Red Deer. Experience is a must.
Operator's responsibilities:
- The ability to operate hydrovac trucks and equipment for safe excavation of underground utilities
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best approach for excavation
- Maintain equipment by preforming routine inspections and basic mechanical repairs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met
- Provide clear communication with project managers regarding progress and any other issues encountered
- Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather
- Completion of daily documents, such as, customer work orders, field level hazard assessments, pre/post trip inspections
- Follow instructions assigned by supervisor
- Complete daily maintenance of assigned truck
- Attend daily tool box and safety meeting as scheduled and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Possess a valid class 1 or 3
- Provide a 5 year commercial driver's abstract
