Our growing organization is in immediate need of an organized and dedicated Scheduler to join our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate for this position will be hard-working, dedicated, meticulous and detail-oriented. They will have an excellent ability to multi-task and meet rigid deadlines while remaining professional and courteous. This is a very busy position and having the ability to multi-task is a must. Being an analytical thinker will be very helpful in this role!
RESPONSIBLE TO:
- Develop program schedules in conjunction with Associate Directors and Supervisors
- Effectively manage daily sick call-ins from staff in various programs
- Ensure GL code, shift code, pay code accuracy
- Complete ongoing maintenance of the online scheduling programs, Comvida and Sincron.
- Follow compliance as it pertains to the Collective Agreement, TDCSS policy and procedures and Canadian Labor laws
- Manage casual employee schedules including monthly, weekly and daily scheduling
- Schedule and book new hire program orientations, as well as training and staff development as required
- Effectively schedule vacation periods, following the Collective Agreement as it pertains to the bi-annual requests periods within the calendar year
- Effectively schedule ongoing time-off requests as they are submitted by employees, based on the operational needs of the organization
- Enter data into Comvida and Sincron as required (certifications, training, skill sets etc.)
- HR filing as needed
- Run reports using Comvida as requested
- Understand the complex needs of the organization, considering the needs of the funder, Collective Agreement and personnel when making decisions
- Support hiring processes
- Maintain confidentiality in relation to organizational HR information (i.e. staffing related matters, Labor relations matters, hiring matters)
- Professionally handle any emergent needs as required by the HR department
- Complete reference checks
- Any scheduling duties as it relates to the HR department
Hours:
1 positions - 35 hours per week FULL-TIME. 2.30 pm to 10.30 pm. Monday to Friday

Requirements:
Education
Required:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
Preferred:
- A relevant diploma or certificate with experience in nonprofit sector
Experience
Preferred:
- Previous clerical or administrative experience
- Previous experience with HR scheduling systems
