We are looking to add a Human Resources Coordinator to our team!

Scope:

The Human Resources Coordinator will play a key support role for the North American HR Team. This role will aid in creating standard operating procedures, HR best practices and administering programs/policies to foster a positive, proactive, high-performance culture.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate the onboarding process; including but not limited to, setup, orientation, office tour, and review new hire paperwork for accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the HRIS system (Dayforce).
  • Assist with benefits administration including timely enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Prepare employee communications in accordance with internal timelines and standards.
  • Facilitate employee change processes and transactions related to staff movements, promotions, leaves of absence and terminations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries both in person and the HR inbox, including, policies, benefits, etc.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to appropriate HR members, as necessary.
  • Create and maintain electronic employee records, ensuring filing system is organized and up-to-date.
  • Support learning and development initiatives, including managing LinkedIn Learning activities and other internal training programs.
  • Assist with HR reporting and program audits as required.
  • Promote positive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Participate in various HR projects, contributing to the development and maintenance of HR processes, programs, and events.
  • Actively serve as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
  • Prepare and distribute various HR-related documentation, including, agreements, verification letters and other assigned materials.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • A college or university degree, preferably in business specializing in Human Resources, or equivalent office administration work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant human resources experience, preferably in the service industry.
  • Experience working in distribution, warehouse or manufacturing is an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess solid organizational skills, be a self-starter, able to work with limited supervision and be capable of handling multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage individuals; written and verbal skills to facilitate the communication process - must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Knowledge in employment legislation including employment standards, privacy, and human rights.

The successful candidate will receive a conditional offer which will be contingent upon a successful background clearance obtained through our contracted third-party vendor. The standard clearance requirements depend on the position and may include some or all of the following: criminal or credit clearance, employment verification, education verification, and driver’s abstract review.
