Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Employee Recruitment: Advertise for open positions using Applicant Tracking Systems (BambooHR). Review incoming resumes, phone screen applicants to assess suitability, assist in the interview process.
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Onboard and welcome new employees. Ensure proper documentation for new and departing
employees.
- Safety Administration: Maintain and update the safety
program to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Manage the incident reporting process and maintain proper documentation. Prepare monthly safety meetings. Coordinate and prepare documents and meetings for Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Training Documentation: Assist in documenting employee training sessions and maintaining training records.
- Performance Review Tracking and Write-Ups: Assist in coordinating annual performance reviews as well as 3-month reviews for new employees. Prepare performance review letters for employees.
- LMIA and Temporary Foreign Worker Programs: Prepare LMIA applications ensuring compliance with government standards. Help Temporary Foreign Workers who are arriving to Canada.
- Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention. Organize team-building activities.
- Other HR and Safety administrative duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in HR or safety field, preferably in a farming or agriculture environment.
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policy development, and employment standards specific to agricultural operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities, able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in HRIS software (Bamboo HR) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
