Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart.
- Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations.
- Collaborate with the waitstaff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with food service as needed, including delivering menus and taking drink orders.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Support other restaurant staff during busy periods to enhance overall guest experience.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest services and hospitality.
- Proficient in using POS systems for managing orders and payments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while remaining calm under pressure.
- A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help others enjoy their dining experience.
- Knowledge of food service operations is a plus.
