Responsibilities
- Greeting guests as they enter in a warm and friendly manner.
- Cross referencing booking systems as necessary and general management of the seating arrangements.
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
- Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
- Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
- Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
- Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations and supporting on the dining room floor.
- A knowledge of the menu.
- Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
- Setting and clearing tables.
- Providing great customer service.
- Acknowledging guests as they leave.
Requirements and Skills
- Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
- Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Restaurant experience a plus.
- Experience with OpenTable is an asset.

Open Range mixed modern with tradition, serving every cut of meat you would expect but preparing it with an interesting variation of flavours.
The vision of Big Fish & Open Range came to be in 2020 after success in providing a duel surf and turf experience. Rather than operating both businesses independently, the decision was made to combine both restaurant concepts – why have one when you can have both? Thus, customers have the opportunity to order from an expanded menu that offers a larger variety of options to appeal to all tastes and cravings.
