As a Hospitality Instructor, the incumbent will train students in the field of expertise using accepted and approved instructional methodology. Provides lecture and hands-on instruction as well as assessment of student’s knowledge through applicable evaluation and reporting.
- Prepare, organize and implement lesson plans using industry-standard educational approaches (multimedia, adult learning methodology) according to the required program schedule
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning modules; instruct and evaluate students, develop students skills, and encourage a positive learning environment according to the program schedule
- Track student attendance, performance and grades; report absenteeism to the Campus Administrator
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards and practices, including oversight, care and maintenance of any equipment of materials used in the classroom
- Observe and evaluate student’s work to determine progress, provide feedback and make suggestions for improvement; maintain accurate and complete records of student’s development
- Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures; instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Participate in various administrative activities(e.g., attending staff meetings), graduation ceremonies and continuing professional development activities, keep up-to-date with industry trends

- You must have 2 years of ‘on the job’ Hospitality industry work experience (mandatory)
- 2 years teaching experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Post Secondary education in the Hospitality & Tourism field *OR
- 48 months of work experience in the Hospitality Industry within the last 10 year period
