Highway Transportation Truck Driver
Kettle River Contracting is currently recruiting a professional individual to join our team as a Highway Transportation Truck Driver.
The Truck Driver will be responsible as part of the indirect support team, working to relocate equipment and parts as required to the various projects.
This position would be field based from our Elkford, BC office.
Job Duties:
- Promote a Safe and Respectful Work Environment
- Promote and Enforce a Professional Attitude Onsite and in the Office
- Follow all municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations with regards to on-highway trucking.
- Accurate and Timely completion of Log Books, Bill of Ladings, Inspections and Timecards.
- Adhere to all Kettle River Policies
- Adhere to all client Policies.
- Effectively Seek Productive Methods of Completing Tasks
- Work Under Pressure and Tight Deadlines
- Actively Participate the in KRC’s Safety and Environmental Programs
- Possess a Valid Driver’s License (class 1 with Air Endorsement)
- Operate and Maintain in a Professional Manner, any Kettle River Contracting Provided Assets including Cell Phones, Computers and Vehicles
- Train, Mentor and Lead other Employees
Job Details:
- Full Time Seasonal Position (approximately 200 hours per month)
- Expected to Work 8-10 Hour Shift
- Expected to be available for overnight trips as required
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of Valid Class 1 Drivers License with Air Endorsement
- Minimum of 3 Years Experience in the Transportation Industry with at least 1 year of Equipment Transportation Experience
- Strong Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Able to Work in Various Environments and Weather Conditions when Required
- Must be Safety Orientated, Self-Motivated and Work Well with Other Employees and Subcontractors
- Have Good Organizational Skills
- Self-Disciplined
- Pass Pre-Employment, Annually, and Post Incident Drug and Alcohol Testing
Experience:
Highway Transportation Experience – 3 years
Equipment Transportation Hauling – 1 year
Equipment Operating Experience – Asset
