New West College is seeking a dynamic, self starting, student-focused Higher Education Recruitment Manager to lead student recruitment efforts. This role acts as the liaison and brand ambassador between the College and prospective students by promoting our programs through presentations, events, and one-on-one consultations—both in Calgary and surrounding areas. The Manager will recruit qualified students to our programs, in addition, will advise and provide accurate information to the students about the Colleges programs and services. This role reports to the Campus Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a student recruitment territory in and outside the Calgary area.
- Establishing and maintaining key relationships with high schools, high school career counsellors, career practitioners and other stakeholders in the school system and advance educational partnerships in the community
- Develop and execute a Student Recruitment Strategic Plans including Marketing Plans that support student enrolment goals
- Deliver information sessions, workshops, one and one consultations with prospective students and families
- Attend career and job fairs and other community events as required
- Collaborate with college staff, instructors and vendors
- Ensure being compliant with Alberta Career College and New West Colleges policies.
- Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the recruitment budget, ensuring expenditures align with organizational guidelines and goals.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Education or Business is required
- Minimum of 2 plus years experience working in post secondary. Preference given to experience in the Career College industry
- Experience successfully developing and executing Student Recruitment Strategic and Marketing Plans. Preference given post secondary Student Strategic Recruitment / Marketing Plans
- Exceptional public speaking, presentation and facilitation skills
- Develop and deliver information sessions, workshops, one on one consultations with prospective students and families
- Attend career and job fairs and other community events as required
- Experience working with a diverse audience and clientele

- Own your own vehicle, has the ability to travel and has a valid Alberta drivers license
- Ability to work when required evenings, weekends and some travel
WORK HOURS:
The role requires occasional travel, including overnight stays, both within and outside of Calgary. It may also involve participation in evening and weekend activities or events. When not traveling or attending events, you will be expected to be on campus
