Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operations, maintenance, and safety protocols to ensure optimal performance on job sites.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators and loaders for various construction and agricultural tasks.
- Perform digging, grading, and building operations as required by project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery to minimize risks on the job site.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents that occur during operation.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation with experience in farm machinery preferred.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Experience in loader operation, backhoe operation, and bulldozing techniques.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining individual accountability for tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to report progress and issues clearly to supervisors.
