Skwlax Resource Management is seeking applicants for an upcoming construction projects. Positions are field based and in region of Chase, British Columbia.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR:
- Safe and efficient operation of equipment (excavator, loader, dozer, etc.)
- Light maintenance, cleaning and routine servicing of equipment
- Perform routine inspections
- Load, unload, identify and distribute materials and equipment
General Requirements:
- Previous construction experience in an operator capacity and proven competency
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to identify safety risks and hazards, and complying with relevant safety procedures and regulations
- Physically able to perform manual labour outdoors (shifts can vary from 8-12 hours per shift, 5-6 days on per week, with adjustment as projects demand)
- Physically able to handle and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Other tasks, duties and requirements as assigned
Qualifications:
Various safety tickets and certificates as required including but not limited to:
- Positions are safety-sensitive, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing may be required
- WHMIS 2015
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract (less than 6 demerits) required
- Ground Disturbance if participating in Ground Disturbance activities, an asset
- Occupational First Aid 1 an asset
- Other safety certifications as projects may require
Working Conditions:
- Positions are field based
- The typical work schedule will vary from 5-6 days per week, and 8-12-hours per shift depending on the project
