Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment, including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction projects and requires a strong mechanical knowledge as well as the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete construction projects on time and within specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of job sites as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or farm machinery operation is a plus.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's license; additional certifications for specific machinery operation are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
