Z’gamok Mining is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated individual with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Apprentice.
The Heavy-Duty Technician Apprentice will work alongside our Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician and will be responsible for troubleshooting, Diagnosing and repairing a variety of mobile equipment on various job sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to complete Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Services on mobile equipment in a scheduled timeframe
- Assist in diagnosing technical or mechanical problems and performing repairs on a variety of Underground and Surface mobile equipment.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Complete work order forms and other required documentation for assigned jobs.
- Maintain communication and providing updates as needed
- Maintain organized and tidy work environment including required tools for the job.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Class G Driver's License
- Registered in a heavy-duty equipment apprenticeship
- Exceptional attention to detail and organized
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Self motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative
- Ability to follow safe working procedures
