Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for patients and residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring assistance in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support meal preparation and assist with feeding as needed.
- Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document patient care activities and report any changes in health status to nursing staff.
- Engage patients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Offer support for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through compassionate interaction.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred.
- Strong background in patient care and senior care practices.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential.
- Must be physically capable of performing heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs.

This position is 7 days a week Monday-Friday 11am-12 noon and Saturday-Sunday 12noon-1pm
Job Types: Permanent, Casual
Pay: $21.00 per hour
