Duties
- Assist in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
- Help cook and prepare menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed consistently.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
- Previous experience in bartending or knowledge of beverage pairings is a plus.
