Job Title: Guidewire Developer (Architect, Senior, or Developer level)
Location- Montreal, Canada (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Long Term)
Job Summary:
We are seeking Guidewire SME at various levels (Architect, Senior Developer, and Developer) to join a strategic project based in Montreal. The ideal candidates will have strong experience working on Guidewire Insurance Suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter) and will be responsible for delivering high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to the insurance industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work onsite with a collaborative team on cutting-edge insurance technology.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Customize and configure Guidewire applications to meet specific business needs.
- Develop integrations using REST/SOAP web services, messaging frameworks, and APIs.
- Participate in all phases of SDLC – requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment.
- Write clean, maintainable code in Gosu and Java.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain best practices, and ensure code quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Guidewire environments.
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
Additional Responsibilities (based on level):
- Senior Developers: Provide mentorship, lead technical discussions, ensure delivery excellence.
- Architects: Define system architecture, lead solution design, ensure scalability, performance, and integration best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Hands-on experience in Guidewire implementation and development.
- Proficiency in one or more Guidewire products: PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- Strong programming skills in Gosu and Java.
- Solid understanding of Guidewire integration, configuration, and customization.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with development tools like IntelliJ IDEA, Git, Maven, or Gradle.
