About Us
Inn on Long Lake is a 64-room independent hotel located right on the water in Nanaimo. We’re proud to be a locally owned business that blends the charm of Vancouver Island living with professional hospitality. Our guests range from families and leisure travelers to corporate and government guests, and even a few four-legged friends (we’re proudly pet-friendly!).
What You’ll Do
As a Guest Services Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in ensuring they feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Responsibilities include:
- Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
- Managing check-in, check-out, and reservation processes using our property management system.
- Assisting guests with inquiries, local recommendations, and special requests.
- Handling payments and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting team members across departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Addressing guest concerns with empathy and providing solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while staying calm and positive.
- Comfort with computers and basic office systems.
- A friendly, professional demeanor and genuine care for people.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
