About the Role
This is a dual-role opportunity that blends creative content development with campaign coordination and sales support.
You'll spend roughly half your time helping us grow and manage our social media presence, and the other half supporting sales outreach, advertiser onboarding, and internal marketing projects.
Responsibilities
Social Media & Content (50%)
- Plan and post daily content across Instagram using our Canva templates and content playbook
- Write punchy, on-brand captions and build reels, carousels, or quote posts
- Monitor comments and DMs, engage with followers and partners
- Repurpose and repost past high-performing content
- Share blog posts and advertiser features from our website
- Track performance and deliver weekly reports
Sales Support, Events & Admin (50%)
- Assist with prospect outreach: send templated emails and follow-up messages
- Make initial warm calls or DMs to qualify advertiser leads (no hard selling)
- Pass qualified leads to our sales team or CEO to close
- Take meeting notes, manage weekly team schedules and calendars
- Support events and campaigns (invitations, RSVP lists, vendor outreach, scheduling)
- Help organize deliverables, prep client-facing materials, and manage light admin
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in social media, content marketing, or digital communications
- Excellent writing and communication skills (IG captions, emails, brief proposals)
- Experience using Canva, Instagram, Google Docs/Sheets
- Highly organized and proactive with strong follow-through
- Bonus: Experience in event planning, marketing coordination, or CRM tools
- Familiarity with Ottawa’s business, culture, or local scene is an asset
