Are you passionate about ski racing and the legacy it creates? The Groups and Race Lead Hand will report to the Groups and Race Centre Coordinator. This position is crucial for the smooth running of activities at the Nancy Greene International Race Centre. The role involves acting as a link between Sun Peaks Resort LLP and different groups, such as schools, corporate clients, and First Nations communities. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, event management experience, and a strong passion for winter sports, particularly ski racing. The Groups and Race Lead Hand will work closely with the Groups and Race Centre Coordinator to create and implement strategies to improve services and events, ensuring they meet the high standards set by Sun Peaks Resort. This role may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions and require flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays. Compensation Information: $22.10 per hour
Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; both in an indoor & outdoor setting.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.
Skills you bring with you:
- Post-secondary education; business administration, or equivalent experience an asset but not required.
- Outstanding interpersonal and motivational skills.
- Previous coordinating experience beneficial.
- Outstanding computers skills; P.O.S. systems, Microsoft computer systems, electronic business systems.
- Outstanding cash handling skills, sales transaction reconciliation, daily cash outs, etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented.
- Proven track record in guest services and as a team player.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of current WorkSafeBC standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Arranging tickets for Race Teams and Groups over phone, email and in person.
- Deliver tickets to accommodation as required.
- Assist teams with last-minute changes to their tickets/ lanes.
- Add groups and race teams into the calendar as new bookings appear.
- Coordinate School & Tour Operator groups arriving in the resort, including welcoming groups as they arrive and ensuring all guest touchpoints are delivered in a seamless manner. This may include assisting groups through rentals and introducing them to their on-snow coordinator.
- Security and accountability for all orders and payments.
- Maintain an excellent working relationship with Guest Services and other departments.
- Maintain expert knowledge of resort offerings, including accommodation, dining, mountain activities and third -party offerings.
- Input groups and Race Centre bookings into POS system RTP and email invoices to groups before arrival.
- Assist the Groups and Race Centre Coordinator with special events, evening activities or guest programs.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the current groups within the resort to be able to assist should complications arise.
- Assist the Access Audit office with cover on days off and vacations.
