Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor that has experience with the following-(deck building, stone work and above ground/in ground pool building). This candidate will oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of construction, including project management, and team coordination. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Duties
- Manage and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct construction estimating to prepare accurate budgets and timelines for projects.
- Oversee the installation of various structural components including cabinetry, flooring, plumbing, electrical systems, and masonry work.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks such as concrete forming, finishing, caulking, and restoration work.
- Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues that arise.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for specific tasks on-site.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and practices.
- Experience with concrete forming and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices for accurate project budgeting.
- Ability to perform plumbing tasks effectively.
- Skilled in masonry work including bricklaying and stonework.
- Competent in welding techniques for structural integrity.
- Experience in flooring installation and tile laying methods.
- Knowledgeable in restoration techniques for renovation projects.
- Basic electrical experience is a plus but not mandatory.
