Job Summary:
Mow Town is an award winning lawn care and snow removal company offering service throughout Edmonton. We want to be the best, which means having the best staff, equipment, vehicles, shop and even the best customers.
We have one spot open for a full time Lawn Care Specialist to join our north location team. The company is growing quickly and we frequently promote from within. As a Lawn Care Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our client's properties. This is a hands-on role that requires physical strength and stamina, the ability to operate walk behind and ride-on equipment safely, and most importantly: a positive attitude toward green space maintenance and the team. In the winter, we switch into snow removal duties.
Duties:
- Perform regular lawn maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, and trimming
- Apply fertilizers and other treatments to promote healthy growth
- Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries
Experience:
- Previous experience in professional lawn care or snow removal is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques and best practices
- Mechanical knowledge to operate power tools effectively, and ability to use hand tools for various tasks.
- Experience driving a pickup truck with a trailer would be helpful
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Must Haves:
- Class 5 Drivers License
- No criminal record
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the shop each day
- You are physically fit, can push or pull up to 60 lbs at a time, and can also be on your feet for up to 10 hours per day
- As this is an outdoor job, please consider that working outdoors can trigger allergies and asthma.
The Work Schedule:
- We work Tuesday to Friday. We usually start at 8:00AM and finish up work at 6:00PM give or take an hour. There may be occasional opportunities to work other days of the week and earn OT.
